Having a premium Weebly theme is essential for making a good Weebly website. Look, I love Weebly and its my favorite website builder (by far!). It's the easiest and most efficient builder out there with a wide range of powerful features.

But the default Weebly themes leave a lot to be desired. They're boring, they look bad, and they're pretty featureless. Plus, they don't have many customization options available, making it hard for you to establish proper branding. You want to impress visitors, and unfortunately default Weebly themes just don't perform.

This is where third-party Weebly themes come in. Third-party Weebly themes (or "premium" weebly themes as I call them) are hot. They're stylish, attractive, and come with lots of useful features and customization options. They're a must-have for anyone creating a serious Weebly website. You usually pay for them through the site of the provider, download a file (which is the theme), and upload that file to Weebly. The installation process is surprisingly easy.

Thing is, there are a ton of providers out there. It can get confusing trying to figure out who you can trust and buy from. Luckily, I've done the research for you. I've bought a product from every single provider, and interacted with them via support. Today, I'll be sharing this information with you.

#1). Luminous Themes (My Favorite) | 4.9/5.0

Luminous Themes develops and sells premium Weebly themes and templates. They've been in business since 2015, and have grown steadily since. I've bought from them on several occasions and I've had an excellent experience using their products and interacting with their support. I find their themes to be gorgeous and love the features that they provide.

Their themes have a very modern, minimalistic and sleek feel to them. They're also very well optimized, with quick loading times despite their impressive array of features. Imagine a theme that's easier to use than a default Weebly theme, yet more powerful than most Wordpress websites. That's Luminous Themes for you.

One REALLY cool feature that Luminous provides is their Page Builder, which comes in the box with their Oxygen and Pristine themes.

Here's how their Page Builder works: Their Oxygen and Pristine themes come with a bunch of lovely pre-built sections. These are sections and modules that are already professionally designed for you--all they're waiting for is your own text, images, and content.

The Page Builder is an online app included in Oxygen and Pristine that lets you drag and drop these pre-built sections like Lego pieces, so that you can create your ideal page design.

Then, all you have to do is import your page layout into Weebly, and viola! In Weebly, you can add stuff to these pre-built sections.

This is an incredible feature which I absolutely love. It makes designing pages a breeze. With this tool, you can literally create pro-grade webpages in seconds. Drag and drop a bunch of blocks around, add your layout into Weebly, and quickly paste in your own content.

Plus, it makes your pages look stunning and beyond anything that Weebly lets you do by default.

I design websites in Weebly for clients, and ever since this tool was released, I've been publishing websites like there's no tomorrow. It's an incredible feature and I don't know how I lived without it. My clients love it too because the quality of my work has skyrocketed because of Page Builder.

Advantages:

• Gorgeous, high-quality designs: Their themes are beautiful. I love their emphasis on design and have had lots of luck using their products and designing websites for clients with them.
• Extremely easy to use: I tend to like easy-to-use themes because it optimizes my workflow and reduces development time. Their products are by far the easiest to use themes on the market. Everything is either drag and drop (at least in my Apollo theme I bought from them).
• Excellent support: I've contacted them on several occasions, and the support has always been top-notch. I get replies to my tickets within an hour or two, even on weekends. They have a 24 hr support policy so you'll get a reply within 24hrs.
• Cool innovations: In terms of feature sets, Luminous Themes is typically ahead of the rest. The PureSlider in my Apollo theme is really cool because it is hardware-accelerated and swipe-compatible.
• Very easy-to-follow documentation: Their themes come with these online documentations which are very easy to follow along to, and many tutorials have videos to show you how to do things.
• Lots of customization: My Apollo theme lets me make it look like anything I want. Lots of in-editor customization and branding control.
• Super clean code: If you're proficient in HTML/CSS, you'll be happy to find out that its super easy to edit the code. Everything is clearly annotated (seriously--they go NUTS with their annotations) and all of their code is W3 compliant.
• Page Builder: An INCREDIBLE tool that lets you generate gorgeous page designs in seconds with drag 'n drop.

Disadvantages:

• Not many themes to choose from: At the time of this writing, they only have four themes. They tend to go for quality rather than quantity, but this means you're out of luck if you can't find a theme you like. I fell in love with their Oxygen theme however, so that's not much of an issue for me. When I wrote this review, they had three themes on sale.

#2 - Webfire Themes | 4.5/5.0

Webfire themes has also been in business for quite a bit. They've got a great array of beautiful, stylish Weebly templates. They're much more "tailored" to individual niches than the other providers. This means that their themes aren't as multipurpose as the offerings from Luminous or Baamboo, but if you're looking for a template specific to your niche, Webfire is a great choice. They also have pretty good support.

They also have a really cool pricing structure. You can either pay a one-time payment of $45 for a theme, or if you're planning on getting multiple templates, you can pay $29/month and you get unlimited access to all of their themes! It's a really cool strategy that I wish others would incorporate.

Their themes also have lots of really cool features such as widget sliders. Speaking of widgets, they come with a ton, which is really nice. Service boxes, icon section...you name it.

Advantages

• Tons of widgets, plugins...etc. all part of your theme purchase
• Lots of very well-designed stylish templates for a wide array of niches
• Premade layouts makes it very easy for you to create a nice website. There's no way to ruin it.
• Great customer support

Disadvantages

• Not as flexible as offerings from Luminous
• All the advanced functionality can get confusing at times
• Good documentation but not the best

#3). Baamboo Studio | 4.3/5.0

Baamboo studio has been in the game for a very long time, and they've garnered an impressive array of beautiful Weebly templates. They have templates to suit almost every niche. Some templates look amazing, others are starting to look a bit dated, but you'll be good buying any of their newer Weebly themes. Although their themes aren't *quite* as easy to use as those from Luminous, they are excellent products nevertheless, and come with lots of powerful features and functionalities. Their support is also top-tier, with fast responses and very helpful personnel ready to help you with any issue you come across.

One area which differentiates Baamboo from the rest is the fact that they're very active on the Weebly App Center, and they've created some great apps. You'd still have to purchase those apps separately, but it goes to show that they're not going away anytime soon.

Baamboo Studio also offers lots of custom-design services, such as their "Weebly Design in 05 Days" service where they'll actually create a full gorgeous website for you in just five days, for an affordable rate of $299.

• Easy to use products
• Lots of really cool effects, such as their wireframe header effect
• Great one-page solutions
• Cool animations on their themes
• Very affordable prices
• Lots of Weebly services offered on their part

Disadvantages

• Not as easy to use as Luminous
• Documentation is lacking in some areas
• Some features are sold separately as Weebly Apps
• The high level of features can be jarring to some beginner Weebly users
